I'm challenging myself to go back to what came naturally to me as a child: drawing. Every day this year, I'm going to draw a picture and post it on this blog. While each drawing won't be a masterpiece, the point of the challenge is to get comfortable with my style, experiment, and find my niche. Feedback from anyone who takes the time to look is appreciated; it can only help. Ultimately, I hope to achieve the thinking and work ethic of an illustrator. Hope you enjoy.

Improvising at the Brooklyn Museum
While attending First Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum tonight, I realized I hadn't gotten to draw today. This wooden horse sculpture on the museum's fifth floor, part of the Crossing Brooklyn exhibit, stood on a podium filled with notes, pictures, drawings, tickets, a bra (to name a few) - so I quickly drew this, ripped it out of my notebook and added it to the assortment of random items already posted at the base of the horse.
